About the role
We are looking for a leader for our dedicated workforce, to guide a team with a broad range of skills and expertise within the poultry industry. We are seeking a leader to challenge the status quo and exceed industry standards.
Leading a team of Farm Managers, Machinery Operators and Maintenance professionals, you will be responsible for reviewing and improving site performance and outcomes by focusing on the operations, compliance, safety, maintenance and financial performance of the farms. Your ability to build successful relationships with our clients, key suppliers and service providers will be paramount for the success of the site.
Reporting directly to the National Livestock Investment Manager, the Business Manager’s role is also strongly centred on managing the ancillary sustainable business initiatives including the onsite composting operation and solar energy usage and production.
About the successful candidate
This role requires a highly motivated individual who has strong commercial acumen and drive to maximise value in business management with the ability to organise and manage conflicting work priorities. The successful candidate will posses strong written and verbal communication skills and be confident and proficient in the use of the Microsoft office suite. The successful candidate will also hold qualifications in business or an agricultural related field along with proven experience leading and developing diverse teams, preferably within the poultry industry.
