Solicitor, Private Client & Trusts 1-3 years experience

Chapman Tripp is New Zealand's pre-eminent law firm. We deliver the highest levels of legal and business performance to our clients - we are strategic, commercial, decisive and personal. We stand for the highest levels of performance. Our lawyers work on projects that are helping define New Zealand’s future, and as part of our team, you’ll be in the thick of the action.

If you are talented and looking to make a difference, Chapman Tripp has the resources, reputation and mindset to propel you to the top.

About the role:

We are looking for a solicitor with 1-3 years’ experience to join our leading Private Client & Trusts team in our Auckland office.

Chapman Tripp is the only leading New Zealand law firm with a dedicated Private Client team.  We can offer the successful candidate the benefits both of working in a top tier firm and in a boutique practice area.

As the successful candidate working in that team, you will be working on the establishment and reorganisation of trust structures, asset and business planning as well as complex family and succession matters, including wills. You will also advise and establish charities, incorporated societies and partnerships.  This will include work for pro-bono clients and social enterprises.

You will work directly with leading practitioners in this area including Arthur Young, Jarrod Walker and Phillippa Wilkie.

We expect that you will have an excellent academic record and the motivation to succeed. Previous experience in trusts and estates is desirable but not essential. You will work in an open, supportive and friendly environment, and be part of a highly experienced and diverse group. If you’re talented and want to make a difference, Chapman Tripp has the resources, reputation and high-profile work to ensure you thrive.
