Asbestos Supervisor

Enviropacific Services provides specialist engineering and applied science solutions for the prevention or remediation of solid and liquid contamination.  Working across Australia, we are a trusted provider in the property, infrastructure, industrial, defence and petroleum sectors.  We have been in business since 2001, employing over 250 staff across offices in Newcastle, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Cairns, Townsville and Brisbane.

We are looking for experienced full-time Asbestos Supervisors to join our growing remediation and asbestos team in Sydney. 

Reporting to the Asbestos Manager, the position will be involved in the supervision of asbestos removal on a range of unique projects across Sydney and greater New South Wales.

Your duties will include:

  • Site supervision of plant, labour and subcontractors.
  • Efficient planning and co-ordination of asbestos removal / remediation works.
  • Documenting / reviewing / maintaining paper work including asbestos removal control plans (ARCP), Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), licenses and tickets.
  • Enforcing and demonstrating safe work practices in relation to asbestos.
  • Directing employees, labourers, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensuring that personnel are adequately trained and supported.
  • Assist Project Manager or Project Engineer with site operations.
  • Correct use and maintenance of specialist asbestos tools such as HEPA Vacuums and Negative Air Unit.
  • Ensuring correct asbestos waste management and containment.
  • Coordinating the lawful disposal of asbestos / hazardous material waste.
  • Ensuring that OHS&E requirements are met.

You will have:

  • Minimum 3 years experience within asbestos / demolition / remediation industry.
  • Hold relevant asbestos removal qualifications including Friable Asbestos Supervisor.
  • Previously been on SafeWork NSW Friable Supervisors licensing system, advantageous.
  • Proven ability to undertake the role of Supervisor and manage sub-contractors.
  • Strong people management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a hands on approach on site.
  • Demolition / Earthworks experience, advantageous
  • Drivers licence.

This position will require periods of travel for different projects across Sydney and regional NSW.
