About the role:

A permanent opportunity has become available for a proactive and enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer to support our busy Engineering Team located in Adelaide, SA. Suitable relocation support would be provided to the successful candidate. Callidus provide engineering design and optimization services for valves and process flow equipment within Oil/Gas and Mining sectors. The role will support the technical delivery of projects internally and directly to the clients.

Main responsibilities will be to:

  • Create / review technical documents for specification and procurement of valves
  • Calculations for sizing and selection of Pressure Safety Valves and Control Valves
  • Valve and actuator design calculation in accordance with industry standards.
  • Develop strategies for maintenance and inventory for client valve operations.  
  • Liaise with client regarding technical and scope execution
  • Data management of project and design documents
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals and present to client.
  • Project management of work scopes and small group of people.

The Successful Candidate will ideally have:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Instrument or Process Engineering
  • 5 years previous process flow industry experience is essential
  • Sound understanding of pressure systems including piping, vessel, flanges, bolting
  • Sound understanding of project documents including PID’s, PDF, Equipment Datasheets and Specifications
  • Detailed knowledge industry standard for design, sizing and selection of valves
  • Previous experience of project construction or working for end users. 
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • CAD experience of modeling and detailed drawing for manufacture would be an advantage
  • Experience / flare for database development would be highly regarded.

Potential candidates will need to pass a pre-employment medical and reference check.
