Project / Package Engineer

Callidus Process Solutions corporate headquarters is in Balcatta, Western Australia supporting a growing network of workshops in Adelaide, Darwin, Karratha, Brisbane, New Caledonia, Madagascar and the Philippines (Manila). We also have a specialised welding division Callidus Welding Solutions.

Due to some exciting upcoming work, Callidus needs a Project/Package Engineer located in our Adelaide office.

Job Description / Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning for all valve scopes and requirements
  • Planning and purchasing of necessary valves, spares, equipment and leading the purchasing process including budgeting
  • Overseeing the implementation and any necessary equipment or training requirements for scopes of work
  • Client technical support
  • Workpacking and shutdown planning support to customer
  • Rationalisation, inventory reviews and other project valve scope requirements
  • Performs engineering calculations for valves and actuation and auxiliary systems to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications
  • Coordinates with engineering team to develop general arrangement and assembly drawings. Works with the workshops to meet their assembly and testing requirements
  • Assist in scope planning including identifying required tooling and equipment, labour and resourcing for projects within designated timelines.
  • Assists with customer valve and instrumentation datasheet creation, reviews and updates
  • Assists with client data interrogation, reviews and updates
  • Assists in troubleshooting customer issues
  • Attend technical training as required
  • Works on packages with varying levels of complexity
  • Review scope definition and project specifications,
  • Prepare cost estimates and technical/commercial proposals.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry, customer and company standards applicable.
  • Interface with all operational departments within the company.
  • Maintain customer relationships; participate in client meetings as required.
  • Position may require some travel and attendance at client facilities.

Required / Desired Skills:

  • Understanding of Callidus operations and service offerings and capabilities
  • Experience within projects or valve industry and technical knowledge of valves and/or piping
  • System knowledge and experience : Excel, Word, Office 365, Project
  • General exposure to project documents PID/Datasheet/Vendor Packages/ Lists / Registers/ITP/MDR
  • SAP, ERP and Maintenance systems experience preferred but not essential
  • Work experience within oil and gas planning and or operations roles regarding pressure systems
  • May need to work from client premises / work with the client
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and generate further work with customer
  • Engineering qualification or trade certificate required
