The Role:

We have a permanent full-time opportunity for a Gifts in Wills Coordinator to work in this recently established program.  The primary purpose of this role is to support the drive to grow revenue for gifts in Wills.  You will be responsible for gifts in Wills administration, providing support in the execution of the gift in Wills program and working in relationship and engagement development with probable benefactors.  Working from the office in St Leonards, this is an opportunity not to be missed out on!

Your responsibilities:

As the Coordinator of gifts in Wills, you will need to be able to demonstrate empathy with donors and relatives, along with demonstrated strategic planning and project management skills.  You should have the ability to inspire volunteers and staff and have a high level of fundraising skills including the ability to identify opportunities.

Other responsibilities in this role can include (but are not limited to):

  • Execute a range of diverse strategies to identify, solicit, cultivate and steward gifts in Wills (bequests) prospects.
  • Manage the appropriate stewardship of confirmed benefactors
  • Implement a multi-faceted recognition program for benefactors
  • Ensure that the subject matter of gifts in Wills is socialised with the whole organisation via a variety of media
  • Contribute to the creation of testimonials which can be translated into print and video
  • Work collaboratively with the donor and fundraising teams to support the donor journey and execute the strategy to convert existing supporters to benefactors
  • Maintain a robust moves management strategy for gifts in Wills prospects and benefactors on Salesforce
  • Regularly update Salesforce with gifts in Wills activity
  • Work with the Fundraising Data Analyst and Salesforce representative to realise the full potential of the database
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of the administration of estates and anticipated gifts in Wills
  •  Ensure accurate recording and reporting of income from gifts in Wills
  • Prepare regular reports on income generation including pipeline reporting and expenditure
  • Maintain accurate and detailed record of expenses and activities

Your capabilities:

To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who has proven experience working within a similar position, and who has:

•   Proven experience in developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

•   Strong experience in supporting the implementation of gifts in Wills strategy will be a definite   advantage

•   Demonstrated high level fundraising skills including the ability to identify opportunities

•   Demonstrated strategic planning and project management skills

•   Ability to network and develop effective working relationships

•   Demonstrated empathy with donors and relatives

•   High levels of computer literacy with a minimum requirement of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and confident in learning CRM

•   Knowledge of Wills and Estates administration
