The Role:

We are recruiting for an MS Senior Consultant – Occupational Therapist to work within a team environment, supporting Allied Health staff in developing the skills required to take on a wider range of NDIS requests.  The main purpose of this role is to work with participants who have an NDIS package and assist them to pursue their goals, objectives and aspirations.  With offices in Blackburn (soon to relocate to Box Hill), Footscray and Seaford, there is an option for you to work from any of these locations.

Your Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for oversighting the clinical practice and providing a range of specialist clinical services to support participants with disabilities to meet their identified needs. 

You will be required to identify and lead the development of specific processes to support the Allied Health team providing NDIS service delivery, as well as providing clinical assessment and prescription skill support and supervision. 

You will identify and adopt innovative clinical practice models including the contribution to the development of processes/reporting formats and procedures for the team.  Additionally, you will participate in quality improvement activities and in clinical research activities as required.   

Your Capabilities:

To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in a relevant role within the Disability/Health sector
  • A demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision to Allied Health professionals
  • A demonstrated understanding of the NDIS environment and requirements of service agreements
  • A proven track record for delivering solutions utilising a consumer directed care approach
  • A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • A demonstrated ability to manage individualised budgets and reach financial targets
  • Resilience and a proven ability to achieve results through strong influence and consultative skills
  • High levels of computer literacy in using a range of Office computer packages

 

Your Qualifications:

You will have a Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy with a current AHPRA registration.  As this position will require you to travel, you will need to have a current valid Driver Licence and personal vehicle for use – you will be reimbursed for any travel expenses.

The Salary:

This is a full-time permanent position and is offering an hourly rate commensurate on your level of experience + Super + Salary Packaging options up to $18,550 per annum.

Please note: The successful candidate will be required to undergo a National Police Check, possibly an International Police Check a Working with Children Check and a working with Vulnerable people check.
