Accounts Receivable (12-month maternity leave contract)

The role

Reporting directly to the Assistant Financial Controller, you will be an integral member of a high performing accounts team.

With a strong background in Accounts Receivable, you will ideally have had previous experience working within private enterprise. To be successful in the role you will need a high level of written and verbal communication skills that are coupled with a strong customer service focus.

Your highly developed interpersonal skills along with your proven ability to form good working relationships with a range of stakeholders, both internal and external are imperative.

Your key tasks will include, but will not be restricted to:

  • Ensure invoices are billed and receipted accurately and on time
  • Develop and maintain accounts transaction information and records
  • Monitor accounts receivable processing activities
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Input and process journal entries when required
  • Assist with month end close
  • Reconciliation of accounts and adjustments to journal entries
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual financial statements (sales report)
  • Handle internal and external queries
  • Ad hoc tasks as required

Key skills and experiences

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills
  • Sound ability to prioritise and manage expectations
  • Agile and flexible to assist the finance team
  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skill – competent in performing v look ups and pivot tables
