Lauriston Girls’ School is one of Australia's most successful and innovative Independent Girls’ Schools. The School's main campus is based in the leafy Melbourne suburb of Armadale and caters for students from 3 year old Kindergarten to Year 12, offering both VCE and IB pathways. Lauriston has a second, residential campus named 'Howqua' located near the Victorian country town of Mansfield, which provides a well established unique experiential program for students in Year 9.

Lauriston’s educational vision is to be a School for Life, providing rigorous, innovative and engaging academic and co-curricular programs to enable students to succeed beyond secondary education. By working collaboratively with parents, students, staff and external thought-leaders, Lauriston staff ensure that they provide a world-leading education for their students. The School enjoys an enviable reputation for consistently achieving outstanding IB Diploma results.

After a distinguished career in leadership of the IB Diploma, the incumbent, Eirwen Stevenson is moving into a supporting role within the School. Reporting directly to the Principal, and working closely with the Deputy Principal - Learning and Innovation, the IB Diploma Coordinator plays a vital role in leading all aspects of the Diploma Program including:

  • Development of curriculum planning and documentation reflecting the philosophy of the Diploma.
  • Ensure that the delivery of IB Diploma Program complies with the administrative requirements of both VCAA and IBO.
  • Leadership of regular evaluation and reviews of the IB Diploma Program.
Beginning in Semester 2, 2019, this senior role is offered as a five year contract position, with generous leave allowance and salary conditions.
