HEAD CHEF

Fitzys Waterford is part of Spirit Hotels.  We operate over 70 hotels in Queensland with small portfolios in Western Australia, South Australia and New South Wales.  Our pubs feature some of the best bars, restaurants, fast casual dining options and gaming rooms across Australia and our core purpose is to operate ‘Great Pubs Locals Love’.

Fitzy’s Waterford is located in the Brisbane south side suburb of Waterford.  The hotel features a modern bar, sensational new gaming room, Roadhouse Grill concept restaurant and a team that are passionate about creating a memorable experience for its customers. 

 

Every team needs a leader.  Head Chefs set the standard in our hotels kitchens and lead by example.  Their role is to inspire, encourage, coach and assist.  Spirit Head Chefs are the “buns that hold the burger together”.  They facilitate the collaboration of different flavours within the kitchen team and bring out the best in their team members.  Head Chefs play a pivotal role in the development of their team members.  They are a valuable source of knowledge and a mentor for our up and coming chefs.

What do I need to have?

  • You’ll be responsible for actively engaging with our customers and serving excellent quality food and beverages.
  • You’ll be trade qualified:  Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
  • Ideally you’ll have experience in Functions, A La Carte and Buffet.
  • Experience working within gross profit levels and expense budgets.
  • Need to be flexible, as you will work rostered shifts including nights and weekends.
  • The desire to continually strive towards delivering the best customer experience whilst maximising food revenue across all hotel departments.
