HEAD CHEF l BEACHFRONT LOCATION

The Company

The Onslow Beach Resort forms an integral part of the Mackerel Islands Pty Ltd company operations. The brand new Resort is the premier venue in Onslow, a progressive, growing community located on the Pilbara coast.

 

The Resort includes 86 self contained executive apartments, a hire car agency and the Beach Club - a brand new bar/restaurant and function centre catering for house guests and the general public. 

 

Located in the centre of town on the foreshore overlooking beautiful Beadon Bay, Resort guests include corporate travellers and tourists alike. Onslow Beach Resort is the gateway to the island tourism hotspot - Mackerel Islands.

 

The Position

The HEAD CHEF duties include performing, directing, supervising and monitoring of all kitchen operations to agreed quality, safety, compliance and resource standards, including:

• Day to day hands-on running of kitchen operations

• Menu planning, costing, implementation

• Control of labour, stock and equipment

• Staff training, rostering and supervision

• Ordering of supplies and supplier management

• Offsite and on site functions catering

• Ensure a fun, productive work culture is maintained including regular collaboration with other department heads.

• Monitoring, implementing and maintaining records of food & beverage areas including hygiene, cleanliness and safety standards, HACCP

• Presentation of food service, store and preparation areas

• Updating of procedures in relation to Food and Beverage Operations manual

• Administration duties supporting General Manager

• Support and assist sister resort Mackerel Islands
