The Role

As a Mechanical Engineer within Fleet, you will be responsible for the development and coordination of defined projects and equipment improvements incorporating design, planning, execution and technical evaluations, across a range of fleet assets.

You will manage projects from inception to successful delivery, whilst establishing and maintaining high level technical assistance to stakeholders and customers. 

About You

Your previous engineering experience within an asset intensive industry will be needed, along with a comprehensive understanding of current mechanical engineering philosophies and statutory requirements. 

To be successful in the role you will be able to utilise analytical and technical knowledge to manage activities during planned and unplanned events and provide appropriate solutions to technical/engineering issues in the fleet management environment.

You will be someone who enjoys:

  • Problem solving, often in time critical circumstances
  • Implementation and monitoring of improvements 
  • Operating at a strategic level
  • Communicating with a range of stakeholders
  • A varying and complex workload 

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical), meeting professional membership requirements of Engineers Australia and a Class C driver’s license
