Territory Manager

CSG are currently recruiting for a Territory Manager that is responsible for scouting new areas to start new sales campaigns, ensuring customer satisfaction and product/service delivery with operational excellence as well as providing key single point account management through retention and generation of customer revenue and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively sell the recycling product / services in the targeted areas / territory to achieve growth targets as per the regional sales targets for the business unit.
  • Provide written reports on sales activity and other relevant information each week to a deadline.
  • Ensure portfolio of customers is secure under contract / service agreement as per set targets.
  • Conduct a minimum number of “face to face” sales calls each week as set the Business Unit Manager.
  • Submit weekly reports in the format and deadline as specified including opportunity pipeline, competitor activity and market intelligence.
  • Refer other potential opportunities to the relevant Division or Technical Sales team.
  • Maintain an Opportunity pipeline of new prospects and major resigns being negotiated in accordance with agreed targets and pricing criteria.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Strong sales, account management and business development skills.
  • Moderate experience in commercial / industry business to business sales.
  • Financial / Commercial knowledge.
  • People management skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage time and competing priorities effectively.
  • Intermediate IT skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Database and Customer Relationship Management tools).
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and proposal development skills.
  • Demonstrated cold calling and business development skills.
  • Ability to mentor and train a sales team.
  • Year 12 or equivalent.
  • Sales and Account Management training.
  • Tertiary education within the areas of business, marketing and sales or equivalent.
  • Current driver’s license.
