The Role

The City of Wanneroo is seeking applicants for a variety of Sports Coach (Activity Officer) positions at Kingsway Indoor Stadium including Netball, Soccer, Tennis, Basketball, Cricket, Indoor AFL, Kindy Sports, Hip Hop, and Cheerleading for both the School Term and School Holiday programs.

 

We are seeking highly motivated and organised individuals to assist with the development, implementation and delivery of Community programs and activities.  Highly developed communication skills, prior experience, and a passion for coaching are essential for this role.

 

Interested candidates must possess the following:

• Working With Children Check
• First Aid Certificate
• National Police Certificate (less than 6 months old)

Applicants must also be able to demonstrate that they meet the following:

 

• Ability to teach / coach children of all ages
• Enjoy working with children of all ages
• Passionate and committed
• Punctual and reliable
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Available Monday to Friday after school hours and mornings (desirable)
• Experience working with children aged 2- 12 years old (desirable)

 

Applicants must be able to work outside normal business hours, including Sundays and Public Holidays.

 

Applicants may be required to undergo a medical assessment to determine their fitness to carry out the duties of this position.
