EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR 2019

Braemar College is an independent, co-educational, ecumenical school for students in Years 5 to 12. The College has two campuses, both of which are located near Woodend, less than an hour from Melbourne's CBD. You will work in one of the most unique educational settings, and teach committed and passionate students.

Expressions of interest are invited from suitably qualified teachers, experienced and graduate educators in the following areas for 2019.

  • Teacher - Middle Years, English and Humanities for Term 2, Long Service Leave Replacement. This position is full time.
  • Teacher - Middle Years, English and Humanities for Term 4, Long Service Leave Replacement. This position is full time.
  • Teacher - Middle Years, Science and Mathematics, Long Service Leave Replacement. This position is part-time and multiple terms including Term 4.
  • Casual Relief Teacher -
    • Primary focused, having the ability to teach both English and Humanities or Mathematics and Science in Years 5-8. 
    • Senior School

Teaching Responsibilities:

A successful candidate will:

  • Maintain high standards of learning and teaching, assessment and reporting.
  • Use data to inform differentiated practice.
  • Plan collaboratively with teaching teams.
  • Contribute to Professional Learning Teams

About You:

It is expected that you will:

  • Have an enthusiastic approach to the education of young people including a focus on developing skills and underpinning knowledge.
  • Show willingness and the capacity to contribute to the wellbeing of students.
  • Be open to the possibilities of teaching in flexible learning spaces.
  • Be a current VIT-registered teacher.

In addition, the applicants will have an understanding of and commitment to the ethos of independent schooling and a willingness to contribute to College events and adhere to the College's 'Child Safety Policy'.
