Freight-World is on the lookout for someone with energy, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
As a Freight Clerk you will be expected to check and email clients, shipping lines, agents and other associated parties for the purposes of arranging Rate Quotes for clients, overseas agents and prospects.
You will work closely with shippers and consignees to ensure any problems and anomalies are corrected. This will involve recording data appropriate to the task.
You will also be responsible for calculating charges, storage space and demurrage charges where required.
You will also assist the team through various marketing activities and social media campaigns.

To Be Considered For This Position:
Minimum year 12 VCE or equivalent required.
If the applicant speaks any of the following languages it is beneficial but not essential (Mandarin, Vietnamese, Cantonese, Spanish, French or Italian).
You will need to be a good communicator and be committed to a high level of customer service.
Excellent clerical skills are required as being able to manage files and maintain records.
General office skills are vital to this role.
You must be familiar with computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Flexible Schedule – Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm
No experience in international freight is required.
