Assistant Accountant

  • Enjoy working in a great office environment close to the CBD
  • Work closely with the Managing Accountant to deliver accurate and timely financial management reports
  • Demonstrate your ability to communicate and work well with internal and external parties
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience with relevant professional qualifications

Reporting to the Managing Accountant you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of financial reports and analysis, budget and variance analysis, and have the ability to communicate well with internal teams and external parties, with a sense of professionalism.

Duties will include providing assistance with:

  • Preparation of monthly financial/management reports, profit and loss, balance sheet and, budget variances and analysis
  • Maintenance/development of various financial models, annual budgets and forecasts
  • Analysis of and management solutions relating to internal IT systems
  • Maintenance of the Chart of Accounts
  • Any other relevant duties as required

The successful applicant must have the following qualifications/experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years experience working in a similar assisting/supporting management accounting role
  • CPA or CA Qualification
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet expected deadlines
  • Former experience working in a community-based/not-for-profit organisation (desirable)
