Dr Margaret Tadros Clinical Psychology is a clinical psychology practice in the Inner West of Sydney. We are a small, but growing practice and are seeking an Administration Assistant to be responsible for receptionist duties and administrative aspects of the practice. The role is offered on a casual basis, but typically involves 3-4 days of shifts of varying lengths, including regular evening and increasingly some Saturday morning shifts. 

The successful candidate will need to be conscientious and pro-active in their attitude towards all duties and responsibilities, with excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn. An ability to establish good rapport with clients and other stakeholders is essential. We are keen to work with a candidate who has a strong desire to be helpful and who is motivated to uphold our high standards of clinical care. 

Duties include:

  • General receptionist duties
  • Dealing with client enquiries
  • Scheduling client appointments
  • Processing accounts and payments (including from third-party payers)
  • Maintenance of electronic client records
  • Sending out client correspondence to GPs and other stakeholders
  • Data entry
  • Maintenance of the office
  • Liaising with other stakeholders (e.g. insurers, other allied health) 
  • Assisting in the implementation of marketing strategies to generate new referrals into the practice


  • Ability to work autonomously and multi-task when necessary
  • Sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs, as well as an aptitude to learning new software applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both on the phone and in person
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Sensitivity to ethical behaviour and the ability to conduct oneself with integrity and professionalism


  • Previous experience with, or knowledge of Medicare, workers compensation and Compulsory Third Party schemes
  • Previous experience in a private medical or allied health setting
