Area Manager
We are currently seeking an experienced Area Manager to join one of Australia’s leading companies in their field. You will be joining a busy and successful team you will be highly organised, proactive and a have strong attention to detail.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Area Manager who relishes in leading a team with a “hands on” approach. You will have the ability to respond to changing priorities in a positive manner with excellent time management and people management skills.
The Area Manager is responsible for maximising profit and profit growth within their Area through effectively and efficiently employing available assets and people to achieve agreed targets.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Consulting with their Regional Manager to develop a strategic approach for the growth of the Area through the implementation of a business plan to achieve the strategic objectives.
  • Ensuring the efficient management and smooth running of their allocated Area’s operations departments through appropriate use of labour resources and operational and budgetary efficiencies to result in exemplary customer service practices and the meeting of contractual obligations.
  • Management and control of their Area’s P&Ls, achieving revenue and EBIT budgets and targets.
  • Developing and implementing key initiatives, programmes to support business strategy.
  • Overseeing the workshop and equipment functions through both internal resources and outsourced subcontractors to ensure appropriate systems and resources are in place to deliver reliable, cost effective fleet.
  • Advanced time management and organisational skills
To be considered for the position you will ideally have the following:
  • Previous experience in managing a P&L and building a business.
  • Be professionally presented at all times, strong interpersonal skills combined with well-developed leadership skills.
  • Tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline or equivalent formal studies in management preferred but not essential.
  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills and managing both internal and external expectations.
