About the Role

An outstanding opportunity now exits to join our NextGen business unit as a Strategy & Planning Lead. In this high-profile and influential role, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering NextGen’s strategic roadmaps which will deliver our commitments. Specifically, you will:

  • partner with Corporate Strategy to establish NextGen’s innovation and growth focus areas;
  • manage strategic planning, performance analysis, reporting, risk management and assurance activities for NextGen investments;
  • prioritise NextGen’s plans and work with NextGen leaders to develop and manage strategic roadmaps for emerging products and business opportunities;
  • assist in managing the Innovation budget and investment portfolio including completing business cases and due diligence for proposals, investments and M&A; and
  • implement governance to monitor portfolio health and ensure a balance of investment across both medium and long-term horizons.

About You

To be successful in this role you will come from a strategy, planning or consulting background with a proven track record of developing and delivering successful strategic roadmaps. Ideally, you’ll have experience in the energy or similar industry where you have developed outstanding commercial acumen, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to plan, organise and deliver growth strategies.

In addition to your technical skills you’ll possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills which enable you to engage, influence and negotiate with a broad range of senior stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
