Job tasks and responsibilities

You're Duties:

  • Customer Queries
  • ETA's
  • POD's (Proof of Deliveries)
  • Follow ups
  • Office Management
  • Checking and verifying drivers runsheets
  • Capturing ancillary charges
  • Ordering of supplies
  • Data Entry of Consignments and Manifests
  • Data Entry of Inbound and Outbound Warehouse paperwork
  • Checking and verifying load plans for accuracy and cross referencing 
  • Monitoring that express freight travels
  • Completing the Freight Left in Depot report daily

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • Follow processes and procedures
  • Well-spoken and professional phone mannerism
  • Ability to plan your work load efficiently
  • Minimum three years' experience in a transport customer service/administration role
  • Transport and chain of responsibility knowledge
  • Be flexible in your working hours
  • Carry out all duties within set time frames and follow instruction.
