After School Sport Coordinator - Grimwade Club

Full-time, ongoing position, commencing as soon as possible.

Melbourne Grammar School has an exciting opportunity to lead a well-resourced extra-curricular programme outside of school hours to create a rewarding and meaningful environment.

About the role

The Grimwade Club Coordinator is responsible for the overall operation and daily delivery of the Club, including delivering programmes based on student needs and implementing creative and engaging ideas focussed on the continuous growth and enhancement of these programmes. The programmes and activities can vary, however, do include swimming, gymnastics, tennis, taekwondo, chess, netball, drama and many more. The Grimwade Club Coordinator plays an important role in the pastoral care of students, acting as a conduit between the students and their families, as well as the teachers and general staff at the campus.

 Context of the role

Melbourne Grammar School is one of Australia's leading boarding and day schools, offering an exceptional education to all of its students. The School is organised into three campuses to meet the needs of different age groups. Our Junior School, Grimwade House (Prep to Year 6) is located in Caulfield, and is coeducational with 680 girls and boys.

Since 1991, The Grimwade Club has offered an outstanding extra-curricular programme operating outside of school hours, providing a number of rewarding and exciting recreational activities and coaching options for all Grimwade House students. 

We are looking for someone who has

  • Previously demonstrated a commitment to working with students from Prep to Year 6.
  • An appropriate tertiary qualification and formal qualifications in childcare or education
  • Outstanding communication skills, evident in past interactions with students, staff and parents.

Submit your cover letter, addressed to Ms Helen Voogt-Dillon, Director of Human Resources, along with your curriculum vitae and details of three referees. Your referees will only be contacted with your permission, following the interview stage.
