This organisation is a national service body serving a large and thriving Australian agricultural industry group. One of the key roles of the company is to form strategies to successfully invest across the broader supply chain in initiatives that drive innovation and growth supporting a profitable and sustainable future for the industry that they serve.
  
Due to a recent move, they now have an exceptional opportunity for a talented strategy professional to lead a small team and drive the strategy development and planning function. This role entails significant and varied stakeholder engagement and influence across the company and the matrix of external stakeholders.
  • Consult with board and LT and develop the strategic direction to ensure organisational development, sustainability and growth via strategic priorities and plans
  • Support the LT to identify and assess strategic issues, facilitate strategic discussions and manage strategic initiatives
  • Manage the strategic planning process and activities of the corporate planning team, culminating in the development and finalisation of the Strategic Plan, Annual Operating Plan and provide input to the Annual report.
  • Oversee project evaluation ensuring projects adhere to the frameworks outlined in the statutory funding agreements
  • Business process owner for the CRM
  • Provide leadership across Risk Management and Change Management areas
  
As the ideal candidate for this role you possess the following attributes
  • 8 years’ experience in strategy formulation, strategic planning with a top tier consulting firm or corporate strategy team within a large corporate
  • Outstanding skills in strategic thinking and commercial acumen with demonstrated experience in analysing strategic problems, applying strategic frameworks and developing data driven recommendations with supporting rationale
  • Demonstrated excellence in communicating findings and recommendations (written and verbal)
  • Strong leadership, collaboration and influencing skills with a proven ability to build trusting relationships
  • Tertiary qualifications, with relevant postgraduate qualifications (e.g. MBA), highly regarded
