Electrical and Control Systems Engineers
We are searching for two experienced Engineers to join our Client’s local engineering and design team. These roles will be offered on an initial contract basis of 12 months.
Whilst both roles require a Tertiary engineering qualification in an electrical, mechanical or mechatronics discipline, they are uniquely different;
- Electrical Design Engineer- design, testing and evaluation of electrical systems including wiring harness and components
- Control Systems Engineer- design of autonomous and technology systems such as proximity control, auto-braking, etc
You will be responsible for the design of electrical and electronic components, circuitry, mounting hardware design, interpreting and updating software programs and releasing drawings. Participation in production roll outs, managing projects, conducting analysis and validation assessments will be part of your daily functions.
To be successful you will have prior experience in the 3D modelling (Pro-E, Inventor, Solidworks or similar) of electrical control systems and automation systems. Knowledge of network architecture including configuration optimisation of routers and managed switches, WI-FI and experience in point to point RF communications would be an advantage.
Some experience with working with safety PLC’s, servers and computer networking would also be a valued skill-set.
Past experience designing systems and componentry for the automotive, aeronautical or mobile plant or transport industries would be a great base for success.
Position Responsibilities:
In this role your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Design Electrical schematic systems
- Produce drawings for electrical harnesses and parts
- Manage timelines and projects from an electrical perspective
- Begin partnering with and providing technical guidance within and between teams
- Communicate results to customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units
- Contribute to the design of new products and processes
- Gather relevant information, compare and contrast data, identify relationships and predict performance
- Evaluating new products, processes, or systems
- Perform product and process maintenance
- Ensure design meets ISO and all relevant standards
Required Qualifications.
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering
- Strong analytical skills and some relevant experience
