We are looking for a Protector of the Customer Realm, Defender of Uptime, Maximiser of Revenue. This isn't just a testing role, this is a role that works with the development team to deliver innovation rapidly and safely. We are building products that impact on people's lives while getting to play with all the cool tech. Cloud, Big Data and NoSQL, Microservices, Analytics, Drones, Mobile computing, Google Maps and Geocoding. You name the buzzword; we're probably using it.

Some cool facts about us at Herron Todd White:

  • We are one of the largest early adopters of Google technology in Australia. Using our relationship with Google and their cloud technology stack, we are always looking for new ways to deliver innovations to the property market.

  • The development team plays every day while working together in a relaxed environment, with good humour and team events just part of the gig.

  • Our company is 50 years old but feels more like a startup. It has process and control in the right places and leaves the rest up to smart people to get their jobs done.

  • We're everywhere, holding the title of valuation firm with the greatest coverage across Australia. Across 64 offices, we have over 800 staff. The software you develop will be used in the field every day by Valuers all across our beautiful country.

We have exciting projects on and are looking for smart people to join the team. If this sounds like something you'd like to be a part of, then Herron Todd White could be your next adventure.

To be considered for this role you should have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Experience testing large web and windows applications as part of an agile team. You should have worked with various automation & Performance framework tools  such as Selenium, Cucumber, HP UFT, Test Complete, Loadrunner, J-Meter and Ranorex. You will be comfortable reading developer code and writing test scripts.

  • Strong knowledge of programming languages like C#, JAVA,  and VB Script.

  • Experience in developing automated pipelines in Jenkins and integration with the testing tool.

  • Strong hold on testing process frameworks and defect management.

  • You know what BDD, E2E, mocking, CI/CD, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript  are and have worked with them in your pursuit of quality and perfection.

  • Understanding in the definition and implementation of BI/EDW Data Warehouse testing capability;

  • Proven ability to build relationships and to communicate effectively with stakeholders  including project managers, technical staff and business partners/customers;

  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to develop reports, analyse & interpret outputs and initiate or recommend appropriate action;

  • Proven ability to quickly gain expertise in complex business systems with strong attention to detail;

  • Knowledge of the system development life cycle and service management principles;

  • Relevant tertiary or industry qualification (e.g. ITIL, ISTQB, CAT);

  • Experience working in a testing capacity within the Property Services / Real Estate industries will be highly regarded.

  • Ideally, you will have relevant tertiary or industry qualification (e.g. ITIL, ISTQB, CAT);

A bit about the ideal candidate (hopefully this is you):

  • You have a strategic mind that helps you determine the cheapest, most effective, and lowest risk path to validate features.

  • You like getting your hands dirty. You are more than comfortable producing test data, writing SQL, doing manual testing. We are targeting for this to be a 60% manual / 40% automation test role.

  • You are  technically minded and maybe even have been a developer in a past life.

  • You want to have fun at work. You enjoy social events at work and see this as a great way to build relationships with your team members.

  • You are an excellent communicator.

  • Current Australian/New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or current Visa holder with no restriction on working hours

  • And the usual - you're smart, have an eye for detail, you are a quick learner, and hold yourself to high standards.
