Key Account Manager

An exciting opportunity exists for a Full Time Key Account Manager to join a national organisation delivering first class service and products to major Oil & Gas, Marine and Defence customers. 

As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for helping with current key accounts to increase existing business, and to support and manage effective contracts. We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to perform a variety of tasks including project administration, coordination, planning, relationship management, negotiation, and processing of service work and product sales.

Duties Involved

  •  Identify new sales opportunities within existing key accounts to retain a client-account manager relationship by up-selling and cross-selling.
  •  Deal with service and sales enquiries and resolve key account matters in an efficient and timely manner.
  •  Provide service and product quotations, and process sales orders as required.
  •  Raise purchase orders and manage accounts from initial sales to close out of projects.
  • Coordinate product sales for projects including documentation & SDRL’s, inspections and expediting of goods.
  • Monitor transaction compliance, i.e. milestones, deliverables, invoicing etc.
  • Assist the accounts team in resolving issues causing non‐payment by customers and advise them of any supplier orders that may affect cash flow.
  • Liaise with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and suppliers on technical and commercial matters.
  • Conduct research to identify requirements for current and future services and products.
  • Maintain contractual records and documentation such as client contact information, contractual changes, status reports and other documents required for key accounts.
  • Report on Project KPI’s and meet contract obligations.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience working in a key account and/or project role, preferably with a service business, with relevant industry experience in Marine & Offshore, Industrial and/or Defence.
  • Previous project administration and contract management experience.
  • Self‐motivated and ability to meet company targets.
  • A high standard of personal presentation along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast‐paced environment.
  •  Ability to manage and resolve conflict and ability to adapt to various tasks allocated.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Strong work ethic, enthusiastic and conscientious with a flexible approach.
  • Solid knowledge of ERP Systems.
  • Sound computer skills in Microsoft Office.
