Infrastructure Solutions Designer

We are currently seeking an experienced Infrastructure Solutions Designer to join the IT team, based in Melbourne. Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of applications and services encompassing the complete stack from infrastructure to application.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ownership of end to end solution design for new applications and services
  • Continual review of existing infrastructure and providing recommendations to improve availability and stability
  • Contribute to the system architecture roadmap
  • Continual development of the security posture for both servers and workstations in the environment
  • Support all facets of the server infrastructure in the environment
  • Ensure production systems are available, patched, updated, and monitored
  • Ensure all systems are maintained in line with current audit, security and governance requirements
  • Perform proactive monitoring and maintenance to ensure maximum system uptime

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in maintaining windows server operating systems as well as Active Directory, WINS, DNS and Group Policy
  • Experience supporting MS Exchange
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering Windows based solutions
  • Experience supporting and optimizing VMWare virtual environments
  • Experience supporting cloud IaaS platforms, i.e. Azure and AWS
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • ITIL Foundation
  • Microsoft Certified System Engineer or MS Windows Server 2012\2016 Certification
  • Experience of implementing and supporting Unix\Linux systems
  • Experience using ServiceNow
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the business
