Established for 55 years, Barry.Nilsson. is a national law firm comprising over 300 staff and having a formidable reputation within its 3 areas of expertise: insurance & health, property & commercial and family law.  

Our insurance & health team is headed up by 20 well respected principals across 6 states. The department is recognised throughout the insurance claims industry for producing high quality advice and delivering exceptional service. The team handles claims across all major classes of insurance and acts for the biggest names in the insurance industry both locally and overseas.  

Due to sustained growth, we have a newly created position available within our Melbourne office for a Lawyer with 2-3 years' experience in insurance matters to join our team. You can expect to be involved in a variety of professional indemnity matters including in the areas of construction and health care - to name a few.  You may also have the opportunity to be involved in directors and officers' and management liability files. 

The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills and bring with them an enthusiastic approach and a focus on client service.

In taking on this role, you will receive guidance from a dedicated mentor through our structured mentoring program.  In addition to this you will enjoy the benefit of good resources, an "open door" policy and a competitive salary. The firm also encourages continued learning and as part of this, there are regular in-house insurance CLE sessions to ensure our lawyers are always at the forefront with any developments in the industry.
