Fair Go Finance's main office is in the Perth CBD with operations in Mandurah so the successful candidate will be required to work between these locations and possible travel to the Gold Coast. 

About the Role

Reporting to the CTO, you will manage the implementation of systems and software projects required to achieve business objectives.

Leading an experienced team of software developers, you will support deployment of software development practices to shorten the systems development cycle, deliver features, fixes and updates in close alignment with business objectives and project demand.

To be successful it will require a mix of technical competence, understanding of systems architecture, demonstrated project management expertise and leadership to ensure the growth and security of the company. Through understanding business priorities and technical options, you will ensure delivery and culture are aligned to business objectives.

Key Deliverables

  • Work with the CTO and Executive Team to develop the Software Roadmap and translate it into software deliverables and objectives. 

  • Translate the software plan into short term (sprint) and medium term (increment) plans for action by the software development team.

  • Develop and maintain project management methodology 

  • Oversee the design of a new program of work, manage program budget and resource requirements 

  • Development of project plans, programs, schedules and budgets 

  • Ensure alignment of Program and business objectives, rules and configuration of integrated system software and redesigned business processes 

  • Identify, document and manage program identified program risks, ensure risk mitigation plans are in place 

  • Ability to contribute to code development as required

  • Provide effective leadership of the software development team to build skills, experience and capabilities and ensure engagement with the business and clarity of direction. 

Required Experience

Degree, graduate degree or proven high-level experience in the disciplines of IT and management.

Minimum 5 years demonstrated IT Management experience.

Demonstrated experience managing AI, cloud architecture, micro services, .NET/Core (C#) and Azure environment.

Competencies 

The following competencies are required to be successful in the role: 

  • Building effective relationships: Highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to develop and manage productive working relationships with key stakeholders internal and external.
  • Demonstrated technical competence in: .Net/Core (C# & some 3rd party VB.Net), ASP.Net Web API, SQL Server, SPA (Aurelia /React Redux), TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and an understanding of design patterns. Azure is desirable. 

  • Challenge for innovation: Demonstrated ability to provide innovative thinking to achieve strategic and corporate outcomes relating to IT management.  

  • Deliver in a changing environment: Demonstrated ability to implement IT projects in an Agile environment 

  • Team mentor & driver of Team Skill Enhancement 

  • Results orientation – ability to focus on important issues, refocus on results and a drive to exceed performance
