Shift Leader

QBT A member of the Helloworld Group.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Shift Leader to join our team.  This position is responsible for the overall performance of the Afterhours Team of up to 20 Business Travel Consultants.

The Shift Leader will be hands on, focused on delivering to the client at the agreed service levels, while achieving the performance goals set by the business to attain the desired results for our staff and shareholders.

 

Reporting to the Operations Manager you will:

  • Manage and lead the Afterhours team to achieve both team and individual KPIs
  • Ensure all contracted levels of service are covered through the appropriate allocations of work
  • Regularly review and monitor service delivery against contracted SLA
  • Act as the initial point of escalation for service delivery concerns or issues
  • Coordinate the successful on boarding and training of new Travel Consultants
  • Coach and develop consultants to establish a high performing team, and identify training needs for new and existing team members to maximise efficiencies
  • Be responsible for solving technical and supervisory problems through the utilization of available policies, processes and guidelines as and when required


To be successful in this role you will display:

  • Strong customer service ethic
  • Very strong travel consultancy skill across both Domestic and International areas
  • Accomplished leadership qualities and be able to get the best from people individually and as a collective
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong technical travel skills across both front and mid office activities including fares & ticketing
  • The ability to comfortably and confidently engage with clients at multiple levels
  • Experience in contact centre operations
  • Assurance in working with data to evaluate team and people performance
  • A natural collaborator able to work cross functionally to achieve the best collective results
