We are a dynamic, multifaceted business seeking a Legal Secretary with passion and drive to help us grow our business pipeline.

Your new role

Reporting to the Manager – Claims & Legal Services you will be responsible for Provide secretarial and one on one administrative support to nominated solicitors in the Claims & Legal Services Department. Other responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Typing, processing and filing of all correspondence as required
  • Assisting with managing phone calls into the Department
  • Assisting with maintaining files both manually on the claims database and the document management system, including opening, closing and archiving files in a timely manner
  • Continually updating of information on the claims database and document management system
  • Accounts and claims filing and general filing
  • Assist in preparing claims data and reports as required to satisfy MIGA internal and external reporting requirements
  • Assist with photocopying, collating and distribution of documentation for the various internal committees of MIGA, as required

What you’ll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

  • Proven experience in a legal secretarial or clerical role preferably in a law firm
  • Proven experience using a Dictaphone
  • Experience working in a legal firm or insurance company would be highly regarded.
