Karting Facility 2IC

What are we looking for?

We currently have an opportunity for a Karting Facility 2IC.  This position will be responsible for the seamless delivery of exceptional customer experience within the Stadium Circuit. Duties range from maintaining the cleanliness of the venue right through to opening/securely closing the venue and supervision of staff.

The Bend Motorsport Park situated in Tailem Bend is a state of the art, world class multi-purpose facility, built for all motoring disciplines.  The Bend is the ultimate experience for motor enthusiasts.

Your responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Provide administrative support for kart hire and on-track bookings as well as providing information about facilities, entertainment options, and rules and regulations
  • Maintenance of go-karts, equipment, grounds and circuit while ensuring the facility is kept in a clean and presentable manner
  • Maintaining a safe environment for staff and track users by performing venue and facility checks before, during and after events
  • Supervise karting / track sessions and track attendants, monitoring for incidents that require intervention while ensuring OSH&E requirements are met and re-evaluated as required
  • Securely opening and closing of the venue ensuring checklists are complete and assisting with track configuration for the different track disciplines
  • Weekly reporting to the Stadium Circuit Manager
  • Out of hours work may be required

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Professional presentation skills, high level of verbal communication and interpersonal skills and a strong ability to integrate with a small team
  • High level of computer skills to establish karting / track sessions in our computerised system
  • High level understanding of WHS requirements with effective organisation, time management and customer skills
  • Police clearance, DCSI clearance (working with children) and first aid certificate mandatory
  • Previous experience in karting, the motorsport industry, provision of retail sales, cash handling, mechanical aptitude and reception service is highly desirable
