COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR (2 year full-time contract)

Blue Mountains City Council has an opportunity for a highly experienced communication practitioner to be a part of its corporate communications and marketing team.

The role will plan and deliver community engagement strategies to support a number of Council’s key projects, including:

  • Parking Precinct Plans and Permit Schemes
  • Development of the Leura Local Area Traffic Management Plan
  • Visitor Infrastructure Investment Strategic Plan actions
  • Better Building Regions Fund (Blackheath Visitor Infrastructure)
  • Hazelbrook Village Car Park Upgrade
  • The Great Blue Mountains Trail
  • Western Sydney City Deal Liveability Program

The role involves working with a number of project teams across Council as well as external stakeholders. To succeed in this role you must have excellent customer service, and interpersonal skills. You must also have strong written and verbal communication skills and a passion for community engagement.

The position supports Council’s Corporate Communication & Marketing team in community engagement activities, with a particular focus on major projects and strategic plans.

Salary:  $3,122.60 gross per fortnight.
