Based in our Coffs Harbour office you will be an active member of our Smart, Skilled and Hired team helping young people get jobs.

The role:

  • Researching and identifying labour market needs to allow the tailoring of skills for participants
  • Working with employers and industry to promote the benefits of hiring young participants
  • Actively sourcing eligible participants
  • Identifying participant strengths to enable job matches to employers
  • Engage with employers to create employment opportunities
  • Proactively undertake in job support to ensure the person remains in employment

About You, You'll have:

(Essential Criteria)

  • A passion for working with young people and an understanding and ability to address issues facing young people trying to enter into the workforce
  • Demonstrated success in achieving performance targets time management skills to meet deadlines and targets
  • A positive can do attitude coupled with a flexible approach
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Knowledge and/or experience within the Employment Services and/or Community Services, Vocational education services sector
  • Certificate IV in Community Services /Youth Work will be highly regarded
  • Experience in working with people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait background
  • You will also need a Criminal History Screen (National Police Check) clearance and Working with Children Check prior to employment.
