Union Institute of Language is an international English Language School with a strong and established partnership with Clark Memorial International in Japan, providing long term and short term English language programs to Japanese students studying in Australia.
UIL is seeking a full-time staff member to join our team as a Student Support Officer between UIL and Clark with strong administration skills, attention to detail and customer service skills to interact face to face and over the phone with students, parents and clients both in Australia and Japan, so the ability to speak Japanese is essential. If you do not communicate in Japanese fluently, you will not be considered for the role.
This is a role where every day is different. Time management skills are essential to meet deadlines with migration requirements, with flexibility and compassion in dealing with student and family needs as well. You will be required to work as part of a team and complete the majority of your role with autonomy but liaising with all team members.
This is a Full-time role, however there is an expectation you will be contactable and able to work as needed to support the students which may mean phone calls after hours and weekend work as required.
You must have an Australian drivers licence, communicate orally and in written format in Japanese, hold a Blue Card or be willing to obtain one, and an understanding of the international education sector would be desirable.
