WHO and WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We’re currently searching for a diligent and down to earth Assistant Accountant who will be providing assistance to the Financial Accounting team so as to ensure accounting requirements, including but not limited to reports, lodgments and reconciliations, are prepared accurately and on time.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Weekly

  • Update Bank Transactions file daily
  • Enter Bank Transaction Journals
  • Assist Financial Accountant with Cashflow Report

 

Monthly

  • Prepare payroll for 6 entities based in Australia, US, UK, Singapore, Switzerland & Canada
  • Maintain Leave Accrual schedules
  • Enter Payroll Journals
  • Contribute to the month end close in accordance with agreed timelines
  • Bank reconciliations for the group of 7 companies
  • Shopify Report
  • Cybersource Report
  • Reconcile Undeposited Funds account
  • Royalty Accrual

 

Other

  • Assist with preparation of year end accounts which comply with statutory and audit requirements
  • Assist with Audit queries
  • Other Ad-hoc tasks as directed by the Finance Manager
  • Provide backup for the AP/AR Officer as required


THIS ROLE IS PERFECT FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE:

  • 1-3 year relevant experience in the Accounting field
  • Membership of a recognised Australian accounting body, or working towards
  • Exposure to a large ERP system, Netsuite preferred
  • Intermediate level of MS Excel
  • Ability to work autonomously and provide back up to the Finance team when required
