Carer Support is a not for profit organisation with nearly thirty years’ experience providing a one-stop support service to people caring for a loved one in Adelaide's eastern and southern suburbs.

Carer Support's statewide NDIS program, NDIS Your Way, is a registered NDIS provider, delivering practical help, support and advice in managing NDIS plan funds and coordinating services on behalf of NDIS participants.

About the Opportunity

Due to the substantial growth of our business we are now seeking a qualified, well-organised person with excellent communication skills and knowledge of the NDIS to fill a part time (0.5 FTE) position within our NDIS Your Way team. This is initially a contract position until 30 June 2019, with the potential of becoming full time in the new financial year. The role will be based in Murray Bridge and Adelaide Metro.

About the Role

As an NDIS Support Coordinator, you will assist NDIS participants in the coordination and implementation of all supports in their funded plan. You will work collaboratively with families, service providers and government agencies as part of a busy energetic team, reporting directly to the Manager Consumer Directed Services - Disability.

Position Requirements

  • Allied Health or similar qualification (Desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience working with people with a psychosocial disability
  • Demonstrated experience in case management
  • Team player
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of the NDIS
  • Current DCSI screening and Child Safe Environment certificate
  • Current Drivers Licence is essential
