Commercial Accountant

A rare opportunity now exists with Aveo for an experienced, highly motivated and pro-active full time Commercial Accountant - Freedom Care Program to join our team in Sydney.

 
About the role:

Reporting to the Commercial Manager (Home Care Communities), this newly created role will be required to provide financial and performance information, analysis and advice to allow the effective management of the Freedom Care Program. You will be a business partner to community managers, group finance, care operations and provide a liaison with residents.

Duties include, but are not limited to;

  • Ensure the accuracy of monthly accounts for Freedom Care Program;
  • Review, report and communicate monthly and quarterly to key stakeholders;
  • Performing analysis and insights into cost saving and revenue maximisation and understanding the financial and non-financial drivers;
  • Review process such as levies and home care billing;
  • Lead budget and forecast process in conjunction with care manager and operations;
  • Ad hoc projects, such as ComCare Implementation

 

You will be required to work proactively and unsupervised whilst being a team player, have a high level of computer literacy, oral and written communication, time management and organisational skills to succeed in this role.

 

Minimum role requirement:

  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline is preferred;
  • CA/CPA/CIMA status or studying towards is preferred;
  • More than 5 years in finance roles, with a proven record of promotion for performance;
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills;
  • Ideally have experience with report writing in TM1 (or other BI Systems).
  • Commercial accounting and management accounting experience;
  • Ability to provide consistent, high quality management information to the business;
  • Ability to ensure that all policies, procedures and practices reinforce the achievement of a strong relationship with related internal and external Finance parties;
  • High level integrity and professionalism;
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
