The Resources Training Council (RTC) is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to build on the strong reputation of the organisation and to lead and inspire its growth.
Working closely with the Executive Committee, the CEO will be responsible for strategic and operational business planning and performance, and the management of day-to-day operations, people and resources. The CEO is also responsible for ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and contractual obligations while overseeing the sustainability of the organisation.
As CEO, you will ensure that RTC best supports its diverse membership base. This includes development initiatives, the provision of professional development opportunities, leading policy and advocacy development and being a primary spokesperson for the resources industry training community.
The CEO must also advocate and represent the interests of our members through relationships with a range of external stakeholders, including Government agencies, and through effective communication and media strategies, including acting as a media spokesperson.
To be successful in this role, you must have the presence, intellect and influence to progress this important work. You will have experience and understanding of training in the resources industry and a sound understanding of Vocational Education and Training (VET). You will be a creative thinker with experience in organisational leadership. You will also be able to demonstrate strong business and financial management, as well as Government lobbying and negotiating, policy development and strategic planning, corporate governance and management and risk management.
