Payroll Officer

The VetPartners family includes over 120 successful veterinary practices in Australia and New Zealand. An opportunity exists for a passionate and experienced Full Time Payroll Officer to join the payroll department.

Reporting directly into the Group Payroll Manager, this role will see you play an active role in processing the fortnightly payroll of approximately 1,500 team members. You will be an essential member of the current 4 person payroll team and will work in a hands on environment where multi-tasking is the norm.

 

Your role and responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • End to end fortnightly payroll processing
  • Assisting with payroll related functions including payments for payroll tax, PAYG tax, authorised payroll deductions, worker's compensation and superannuation payments
  • Setting up new starters and processing terminations
  • Maintaining employee records
  • Answering payroll related enquiries via phone or email
  • Ad-hoc duties as requested

 

Key competencies to succeed in the role include:

  • Proven experience processing end to end fortnightly payroll with high volume
  • EMPLive or ADP (in-house) experience is highly desirable
  • Have great communication skills- both written and verbal
  • Experience dealing with various stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and be hands on is essential.
