Santa Maria College is an all girls' Catholic College, founded by the Sisters of Mercy with 1,280 students from Year 5 to Year 12 which includes 150 boarders.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced Administration Assistant to work in our Student Services.  The successful applicant will join a dynamic and committed Administration  team.

This role is a part-time temporary position, commencing in April 2019.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

Essential

  • Knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic and Mercy Education ethos and traditions of the College
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with students, parents and staff
  • Ability to work independently and co-operatively as part of the Student Services team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Advanced level of IT skills, including Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet)
  • Ability to show initiative and flexibility within the role

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a student services environment
  • Knowledge and experience with SEQTA and MAZE
  • Senior First Aid Certificate

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • A current and validated National Criminal History Record Check (as issued by the Western Australian Department of Education), and Working With Children Check.
