2 x AM Transport Admin Assistants - Flexible between 7am - 7pm Monday to Friday

1 X PM Transport Admin Assistant - Monday to Thursday 3pm - 10pm , Fridays 5pm - Midnight

Role is full time casual with transition to permanent contract at 12 months. 

About the business and the role:

As part of increased business demands and new growth our client is now seeking to appoint 3 x Control Tower Coordinators to "own" the night shift onsite and manage the customers expectations meeting SLA's as set out by the client. This is a unique role working with this large and stable organisation. 

They are looking for a self driven team members that can really multitask and take ownership of the required night shift tasks. Must have a solid understanding of Transport, warehousing and logistics, specifically road transport.

The role: 

  • Direct contact with the customer, inclusive of transport pre alerts and delivery notifications.

  • Review and resolution of all customer queries. Inclusive of ETA and POD requests

  • Direct contact with the customer, inclusive of transport pre alerts and delivery notifications.
  • Follow up for orders from customers with from SOP to POD. Pro-active notification to customers as and when there is an update or changes to the status
  • TEMS record management for all escalations and queries, use of the system to resolve any issues raised.
  • PUD customer claim investigations
  • Direct support to the contract manager inclusive of preparation and collation of KPI reports and data required to meet of SLA requirements.
  • Attend relevant customer meetings as required of the business, with the presence of the Sales or Account Managers
  • Manage any urgent request from customers, liaising with client sites to ensure timeframes are met.
  • Respond to ad-hoc rate requests direct from customers by coordinating with sales on the rates to propose. This will include following up with the sales team to ensure that a sales representative is appointed to take over the customer
  • Ensure that all existing customers requirements as notified to CS directly by the customers, will be disseminated to Ops, Sales and management and will be adhered to by them
  • Any other ad-hoc customer service related activities as and when assigned by the Supervisor or Manager
  • Responsible for active participation in promoting and supporting the branch achievement of OHS&E and Operational Excellence targets
  • Other duties assigned

Skills required:

  •  Proven customer service experience within the transport and logistic space
  •  Excellent telephone manner
  •  Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  •  Excellent negotiation skills
  •  Excellent time management
  •  High IT competency including Excel, Word and Outlook
  •  Freight experience
