Santa Maria College is an all girls' Catholic College, founded by the Sisters of Mercy with 1,280 students from Year 5 to Year 12 which includes 150 boarders.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced  Mathematics Teacher.  This role will include teaching Year 11 Applications . 

The role is a part-time temporary position for Term 2 2019 as Long Service Leave replacement,  and includes a 0.6 to 0.8 teaching role.

Experience in teaching Year 11 Applications  is required.  The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum, together with the ability to lead the development of innovative learning experiences for students.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of and commitment to the ethos and values of Catholic and Mercy education.
  • A proven ability to provide leadership to fulfil all aspects of the role.
  • A comprehensive knowledge and an understanding of effective pedagogy in the field of Mathematics.
  • Capacity for strategic thinking and ability to implement change
  • Skills to develop staff through coaching and mentoring
  • Highly developed ICT skills
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
  • A commitment to ongoing professional learning

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum 4 year degree status with appropriate tertiary qualifications
  • Eligibility for teacher registration in Western Australia
