Account Manager

Stahmann Farms, a leading agribusiness in eastern Australia, is seeking an exceptional candidate to join our commercial team in the role of Account Manager – Commodity Sales. This new role will play a pivotal part in our expanding future, where career progression is a real possibility.

 

Proudly celebrating 50 years in Australia, Stahmann Farms (est. 1968) owns and manages tree nut farming operations from Moree (NSW) to Bundaberg (QLD) with a processing hub in Toowoomba for shelling, value-adding and packing nuts for domestic and international markets. We have a growing, global reach with an office in Shanghai and plans to expand significantly through our production and manufacturing base.

 

Based in Toowoomba, the Account Manager is a new role within the Sales team.

 

The Account Manager will play an important front line role developing and maintaining customer relationships, promoting the Company’s products, negotiating sales agreements and administering the execution of contracts, including overseeing documentation, logistics and payment. Frequent domestic and occasional international travel will be required.

 

Ultimately, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Meeting the designated sales targets according to volume, timing and price
  • Maximising the value of inventory by cultivating high value customers, developing creative marketing strategies and applying market knowledge, and by closely forecasting and monitoring stock production, age and quality to minimise or eliminate waste
  • Working with the production and quality management teams to support the effective fulfilment of customer needs
  • Contributing to the Company information base through collating and reporting data and commentary
  • Building strong, cooperative and mutually supportive relationships internally and with allied businesses and individuals

 

Essential:

  • The ability to develop high-level technical and sales discipline specific capabilities
  • Effective people skills
  • Effective technical problem-solving capability
  • The ability to sell based on strong relationship development, understanding customer needs, clear and compelling communication and reliable follow-through
  • Ability and willingness to travel into the nominated market place
  • Relationship development, management, and conflict resolution capability
  • Ability to identify opportunities and risks and to act and advise management accordingly
  • High-level emotional intelligence and interpersonal/oral communication skills
  • High level personal integrity and “incorruptibility”

 

Desirable:

  • Degree in business or related field
  • ERP/ CRM experience
  • Experience in the agriculture and/or food sectors
