We're Bonfire, Perth's leading digital agency working with some of Australia's favourite brands.  We are looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our ever-expanding agency. This role will be on a full-time basis.

This role is autonomous and suits someone with minimal supervision, who is organised and can hit the ground running.  Working in a small team you will report directly to the Head of Finance and be responsible for all transactional tasks in the accounts receivable function. Experience in month end reporting and payroll processing is highly preferable.

Reporting to the Head of Finance you will be responsible for:

  • Full function Accounts Receivable, including collections.
  • Maintaining client relationships in invoicing and collections process.
  • Assisting with Bank & Credit Card Reconciliations.
  • Assisting with month-end duties including journals and reconciliations, BAS preparation, forecasts etc.
  • Administrative and support duties to the Head of Finance, as required.
  • Assistance, when required in payroll processing, including tax and compliance duties and leave management.
  • Driving innovation and change to processes, to ensure accuracy and efficiency in your role.

Profile: To be considered for and successful in this role you will:

  • Come from an accounting background and have a minimum of 3 years proven work experience.
  • Offer a strong generalist accounts skill-set with particular focus on Accounts Receivable
  • Come with strict standards for the quality of your work and respect for the bounds of confidentiality.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online.
  • Experience with Power BI desirable, but not essential.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work without supervision.
  • Degree qualified in Finance or Accounting.
  • Keen eye for detail and high-level accuracy.
  • Professional Presentation and motivated attitude.
