The Role
The IT Administrator assists the IT Manager with day-to-day IT tasks as required across Crystalbrook Collection hotels in Cairns.  Our ideal candidate will understand when to say "turn it off and on" and when there may be a more complex solution to an IT problem.  This is the service industry so a willingness to be flexible in approach and priority of tasks is a real asset.

Specifically, you will on a day-to-day:
  • Provide technical support to our team and hotel guests.
  • Troubleshoot end user device and in-room technology issues 
  • Assist with IT projects and after-hours support as required
  • Preventative maintenance of all IT equipment and systems.
  • Manage service requests with IT suppliers and follows up requests to completion.
  • Roll out new equipment and technologies as required.
  • Develop and maintain end-user documentation for IT systems.
  
Your many talents will include:
  • IT degree or diploma with work experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel preferred.
  • Opera V5 and Micros/Simphony experience.
  • Basic understanding of layer 3 networking and network security.
  • Experience working with IP devices such as IPTV, IP Telephony & CCTV.
  • Experience managing and maintaining a Windows domain environment.
  • Experience with Office 365.
  • Ability to provide Windows desktop support including troubleshooting.
  • VMWare knowledge preferred
