The Royal Adelaide Hospital

The Royal Adelaide Hospital is the largest, busiest and most technologically advanced hospital in Australia with 800 single in-patient rooms, including 100 same-day beds and 80,000 same-day and overnight patient admissions per year.

Spotless are the facility manager, managing services within a hospital building, that is three city blocks long and two wide.

The Role

The PSSA (Theatre / Technical Suites) is an effective member of the facility team who will work with a multidisciplinary team within the operating suites.

Main responsibilities will include,

  • Organising the setup and equipment of the operating theatres
  • Moving of patients, at the request of the clinical team
  • Working in conjunction with other Services within the hospital including ordering and handling linen to provide a seamless service.
  • Demonstrating professional and effective inter-personnel skills at all times.
  • To assist in the monitoring and maintaining of cleaning standards

We are looking for reliable individuals who will demonstrate exemplary communication skills, an efficient attitude, as well as a friendly, professional manner.

The Requirement

To be successful in this position, you MUST have:

  • Hospital experience preferably in operating theatres
  • Certificate III in Health Support Services / Health Service Assistant or higher
  • Understanding of Occupational Health & Safety principles
  • Excellent organisational & communication skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills and an ability to prioritise and multi-task
  • To be able to take ownership and responsibility
  • Ability to work proactively to help others in a team environment
  • Excellent presentation

Please note: As a pre-requisite, candidates will be required to undertake a National Police Clearance and a Pre-employment medical fitness check and have the right to work in Australia.  Immediate start.
