About the role

As an experienced Electrician, you will need carry out the plant electrician corrective and preventative maintenance to deliver a safe and efficiently running site.

Your role will be to care for all site assets with a view to minimising machinery faults, break downs and equipment wear and tear.

You will also be required to:

  • Work on a rotating roster;
  • Act with urgency when machinery fault or breakdown occurs;
  • Work in a methodical manner observing good problem-solving methodology;
  • Investigate to understand breakdown root cause, preventing further reoccurrences;
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks in a timely manner and to a high standard;
  • Actively manage spare parts inventory to both minimise holding but no critical/needed spares are available when required. Work actively with maintenance manager on this;
  • Provide technical assistance and coaching to upskill our team; and
  • Ensure clear handover of work performed between yourself and production so that all safety and food quality standards are well managed.

What we are looking for

  • Experience working within a similar position within the Food/Beverage manufacturing industry;
  • Full Electrical licence;
  • Knowledge of PLCs and ladder logic;
  • Experience with Wonderware, Danfoss and Allen Bradley;
  • A minimum formal education of High School Certificate, Trade Certificate or equivalent;
  • Relevant technical, diary or science tertiary qualifications is desirable but not essential; and
  • Demonstrated experience working with Lean/Six Sigma continuous improvement principles.
