Quality Assurance Technician

About the role

Reporting to the QA Manager, this role will be responsible for delivering key business outcomes whilst supporting the wider Quality Assurance function.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Conducting pre operational hygiene inspections, allergen and environmental testing requirements;
  • Conducting allergen management and support training requirements of operators;
  • Create, amend, issue and control Process Control Sheets following document control procedures;
  • Actively participating in Daily Management System meetings for respective work area;
  • Ensuring products are tested and released within required timeframes; and
  • Performing routine calibration, verification & maintenance activities on laboratory testing equipment.

About you

You will be degree qualified in Quality Assurance, Food Science or a related discipline coupled with previous experience in a similar role. Additionally you will have:

  • Ability to work a rotating roster, including weekends;
  • A strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice, Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP);
  • An ability to work with all team members to ensure the highest quality standards, confidence to challenge and escalate issues;
  • Ability to adopt a highly agile approach to your work practice;
  • Excellent time management skills and an ability to prioritise; and
  • Strong commercial acumen.
