Reservations Sales Agent

THE ROLE:

The person will work in our central Reservations team for the two properties; The Ruby Collection and Paradise Resort Gold Coast. The person will be responsible for processing and the inputting of Group, FIT and internet reservations following the Company processes.  This role is not for the faint-hearted, the small team covers a 7-day roster and is the central call location for over 600 rooms. The person will thrive providing an exceptional experience for the guests; ensuring accuracy of details and providing suitable add-ons to enhance their holiday. The successful applicant will possess the ability to perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

 

  • Answer all calls promptly, in a courteous and efficient manner and ensure that all relevant information is obtained.
  • Adhere to rates published in the rates database or rate advertisements.
  • Keep records of room availability using the computer system.
  • Make and confirm reservations ensuring you offer correct rates and attempt to up-sell.
  • Transmit and receive messages, ensuring they are accurate and passed on promptly.
  • Inform guests about the property's facilities and answer inquiries pertaining to both The Ruby Collection and Paradise Resort Gold Coast services and facilities.
  • Promptly respond to all guest enquiries and requests, communicating relevant information to other departments when necessary.

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience working with PMS systems – CMS and Amadeus
  • Passionate about delivery exceptional customer service to all guests
  • Possess effective communication skills; written and verbal
  • Confidence and ability to rectify guest issues and concerns
  • Ability to handle the pressure of a high demand on reservations calls, make decisions and prioritise tasks to be efficient and effective
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, early mornings, late nights, weekends and public holidays
